Donald Saaf and the Little Hope String Band
When Donald Saaf and the Little Hope String Band reach into their bag of songs, they might come up with anything from the last hundred years. From turn of the century parlour songs to Toots and the Maytals dance numbers. From waltzes to polkas to songs of Billie Holiday. They take songs from every where and filter them through a rootsy, rag-tag, joyous, jugband sort of sound. They play music that truly appeals to all ages. Donald has recorded extensively with children's performer Dan Zanes on Festival Five Records, as well as creating the artwork for those C.D.s. He plays guitar, harmonica, mandolin, tenor banjo, and does most of the singing. The other members include bassist extrordinaire Matt Sharff on the standup bass, and puppeteer Finn Campman on the cardboard box and oilcan. Another part time member is the amazing Phil Bloch on violin. They are presently working on recording a new C.D. of wedding party music.
The Nines Band
To throw a great event you need excellent music. Fun and excitement in all types of dance music, The Nines fit well into any style function. Lead by sensational vocals, clever tenor sax solos and well-balanced melodies, harmonies and rhythms, continuously high-spirited music keeps dance floors full throughout the event. The songs are performed in the classic style as they were written, creating a full, crisp sound. The shows are classy and thrilling.
The ten-piece ensemble includes two guitars, bass, drums, keyboard, and eight male and female vocalists to form an outstanding harmonic mix. The horn section features alto and tenor saxophones, trumpet and trombone. The Nines play an extensive repertoire in the genres of R and B, Motown, Contemporary Pop, and Society/Swing Era Standards.

Simba
Simba is southern Vermont's premier worldbeat dance band. Started in 1989, its eight members work throughout the New England area as soloists, accompanying other artists and doing recording work.
Simba is where they bring their personal creative talents together. The band has evolved into a high-energy dance band, drawing upon African, reggae, Caribbean, Latin, jazz and funk influences to create their own unique and vibrant sound. Simba features several multi-instrumentalists allowing their sound to range from guitar/horn section funk to Caribbean steel drum, from West African balafon grooves and hand percussion to jazz sextet and even klezmer orchestra.
Although Simba loves to play hard and can keep everyone on the dance floor, they can also play an entire night of cocktail/swing jazz if that is what's needed.
The members include: Dan DeWalt - steel pan, trombone, piano, accordion; Wim Auer - bass; Johnny Yuma - vocals, drums, percussion; Bob Stabach - tenor sax, flute; Steve Sonntag - trumpet, flugelhorn; Charlie Schneeweis - vocals, trumpet, flugelhorn, valve trombone; Derrik Jordan - vocals, guitar, percussion, congas, keyboard, violin; Steve Leicach - talking drum, percussion, congas, djembe, balafon.
